Napoli wants to renew the contract of Dries Mertens. As Il Mattino writes, before the match with Sampdoria, the Partenopei's sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli met the player's entourage.

With his current contract expiring in 2020, Napoli's plan is to extend the contract and thus eliminate the €28m release clause, while maintaining his current salary of €4m per year.
