Napoli prepares €35m bid for Fiorentina's Federico Chiesa amid Inter & PSG links

Fiorentina's Federico Chiesa is being tracked by a host of clubs, both in Italy as well as abroad. Yesterday FirenzeViola.it reported that a foreign club had met with his father Enrico, to discuss a transfer and now the identity of that club has been revealed as being Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.

The French club's interest comes amidst interest from Napoli who are preparing to offer Fiorentina a €35 million bid to sign him when the transfer window opens in January. Meanwhile the Viola wish to keep him for the remainder of this season as well as the next one by offering him a new contract that would expire at the end of June 2022 raising his current annual net wage of €400000. An agreement could be found soon but that does not mean that the player born in 1997 could stay that much longer even if he were to sign a new contract.

Luciano Spalletti is a keen admirer of the player and would welcome him to his Inter with open arms as the Nerazzurri continue to observe the situation. Given Fiorentina's reluctance to sell Chiesa and the player being intent on signing a new contract there is very little to suggest that anything dramatic could happen anytime soon.
