Napoli to offer new deal for €15m Liverpool target

Napoli are still working to renew Faouzi Ghoulam’s deal, and have a new offer in the pipeline, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Algerian international’s deal is set to expire next year, but nobody has matched the Partenopei’s €15 million fee to pick him up.

Ghoulam was recently linked to Liverpool and West Bromwich Albion, as well as a return to France with PSG.

The former Saint-Etienne player may, therefore, be persuaded to sign a new deal with a low release clause, and a percentage of a future sale.

The Reds’ Coach, Jurgen Klopp, has been linked with the full-back, as have WBA, who have already contacted Napoli.

TuttomercatoWeb had recently written that Napoli would ask for at least €20m, a fair price for a strong player, an African Cup of Nations regular and one of Serie A’s most attacking left-backs. Ghoulam has made 98 appearances with the Azzurri.
