Neto opens up about 'unhappy' spell at Juventus

Former Juventus goalkeeper, Neto, has opened up about his time with the club, declaring that he lost the joy of football whilst being at the club.

"When you spend two years without playing, you have too much time to think. That's what happened to me, but I knew what I wanted. You can see this on the pitch now, I have found the joy again after two years of unhappiness," said Neto to Marca.

Neto only made 11 league appearances in almost two years with Juventus, competing with Italian veteran Gianluigi Buffon, before moving to Spanish side Valencia last summer.

"I've found a great team with new ideas and an interesting project. I did not feel at ease during my time with Juventus, I wanted to write my story and I needed a place that would allow me to do it. Now I've come here and I feel love, passion and trust, so it's easier for a player to show and release all of his potential."
