New Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has decided to promote promising Brazilian defender Marlon to senior team, according to a report of Mundo Deportivo.

The new manager of the blaugrana has already informed the club that he wants Marlon to be part of the senior team next season given that he won’t rely on Jeremy Mathieu anymore.

Barcelona will make Marlon’s move permanent for € 2 million and the promising centre-back will be a permanent part of the blaugrana senior team starting from next season.
Marlon has already made his senior debut with Barcelona featuring in two league games and making one Champions League appearance as well.
