Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis and Faouzi Ghoulam's representatives have agreed terms for the contract extension of the Algerian international with Napoli.

According to the report, all that is missing before the deal will be made official are the signatures on the contract which will see Ghoulam put pen to paper on a 5 year deal which will see him earn €3,5 million net per season. This will cost Napoli €35 million gross should the parties decide to see out the duration of the contract.

A minimum release fee clause of around €35 million has also been inserted into the contract which will hardly deter clubs like Juventus and Liverpool who have been linked with the player in the past.

Ghoulam signed for Napoli during the 2014 January transfer window from Ligue 1 side St. Etienne where he spent 4 seasons. Ghoulam has featured 151 times for the Partenopei scoring twice across all competitions.
