No Ballon d’Or? Cristiano Ronaldo wants the Globe Soccer

Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé and Antoine Griezmann: the run for the title of "Best Player" of 2018 is open. The award ceremony is scheduled on January 3, 2019 at the Madinat Jumeirah Hotel in Dubai, when the tenth edition of the Globe Soccer Awards will take place. The Globe Soccer Awards are part of the "Grand Slam" of the Football Awards, along with the Ballon d'Or and The Best FIFA.
Only CR7 has managed to make the "triplete", winning all the three awards in a single year. He reached this goal in 2016 and in 2017. Despite he’s not part of Balòn d’Or top three, CR7 could win his third consecutive Globe Soccer Best Player Award. Another Juventus representative, coach Massimiliano Allegri, is running for the title of "Best Coach" together with the former Real Madrid coach, Zinédine Zidane, Diego Simeone of Atletico Madrid, Jürgen Klopp of Liverpool and the coach of the France, world champion in Russia 2018, Didier Deschamps: "I am proud of this nomination and of what I managed to achieve this year”, commented Deschamps. “There is no greater objective for a World Cup, I have won first as a player and then as a coach".
