No UCL may force Inter to sell crown jewels

2016 hasn't exactly been kind to Inter, has it? The Nerazzurri began the year in first place. They are now 5th, a stunning 13 points short of the top, and five short of third-placed Roman and Champions League qualification.

This weekend, they travel to the Olimpico to face that Roma side, hoping that Luciano Spalletti's team can finally be brought to a halt after 8 Serie A wins on the trot.

With a defeat surely putting paid to the Nerazzurri's chances of qualifying, Tuttosport reckons that this will also push Samir Handanovic, Mauro Icardi and Joao Miranda to the exit door.

The Argentine talent is, after all, one of the most sought-after strikers on the continent, with Atletico Madrid especially close to reeling him in last summer. Miranda, for his part, has Jose Mourinho among his many estimators, and the rumour mill is increasingly linking both to Manchester United.

Samir Handanovic, on the other hand, has made no secret of his wish to play in the Champions League, something the Nerazzurri may not be able to offer him until 2017-2018 at the earliest, by which time he would be 34.
