Not only Mourinho: Allegri, Conte & Pochettino also in line for PSG job
- Jordan Russell
Unai Emery’s future on the PSG bench is entirely dependent on his players’ showing in the Champions League. Club president Nasser Al Khelaifi wants to see his team reach the semi-final stage at least and, if possible, in the final in Kiev. At the moment, the Spanish tactician’s work is delivering excellent results.
However, if he ultimately fails to achieve what is expected of him, the club would
seek to replace him. According to the Spanish press, the Parisian club’s sporting director Antero Henrique contacted Mourinho to discuss the possibility of him taking charge of
the team next season. The Portuguese coach recently told the media: “In Paris
there is something special happening: magic, quality, youth, it’s fantastic.” These
words certainly add fuel to the fire.
However, club bosses are also said to be considering several other coaches who they deem capable of leading their ambitious project to new heights. Their list of prospective candidates includes Antonio Conte, Massimiliano Allegri and Mauricio Pochettino, who played for the club between 2001 and 2003.
