Official: Juve injury blow as Pjanic ruled out for next Serie A clash

Transfer blow for Juventus as the bianconeri star Miralem Pjanic has been ruled out for the next Serie A game against Atalanta. The Bosnia International picked up a muscle injury in the warm up training of yesterday’s Champions League clash against Olympiacos and the Serie A giants have confirmed the former Roma star will skip Sunday’s Atleti Azzurri d’Italia clash.

"Miralem Pjanic underwent medical checks this morning that revealed a strain of the quadriceps muscle in his right thigh, sustained during the warm-up session just before kick-off of yesterday’s Champions League match against Olympiacos.

Initial examinations suggest it is a Grade 1-2 strain, but the midfielder will undergo further checks in order to set a clearer timescale for his return to action"
Juventus' statement reds.

Pjanic is set to miss the next game against Atalanta but that may not be the only game that Pjanic will skip although the incoming International break would give the 25-year-old some time to recover from his injury.
