On loan Napoli striker attracting interest from China

There is an interesting twist coming from Asia today in a deal that could benefit Napoli very much. Interest from China in their Colombian striker Duvan Zapata, who most recently has been on loan to Udinese. Both Tianjin Quanjian and Jiangsu Suning are said to be in pursuit for the Colombian, with Napoli reportedly asking for 25 million EUR. Zapata never found his time in Napoli comforting, and only playing sparingly. His season for Udinese was much more fruitful this year.

Zapata’s 10 goals and 5 assists for the northern Italian club have gained attention from my clubs, because combined with an immense physical presence the powerful forward has more to offer than just goals. He can dominate an area of the field with his size and athleticism, and he has caught the eye of Jose Pekerman and the Colombian national team as well. The 26 year old Cali native has seen himself in the Cafeteros colors thanks to his season with Udinese, and now a massive monetary offer could be on the table from China. Napoli will want to push his price as high as possible as they look to reinvest and strengthen to push Juventus and Roma this coming season.
