Goretzka, currently 22, has been lighting up the Bundesliga since last season and helped Germany win the Confederations Cup last summer too.
His contract at the Veltins Arena runs out at the end of this season and the likes of Juventus, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Tottenham and Liverpool are exploring the option of signing the midfielder.
It is believed that while Barcelona and the Bavarians are leading the race to sign Goretzka, but Juventus have shown signs of pushing Schalke to their limits. In fact, it was only around a year ago that both Giuseppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici had initiated contact with Goretzka and the youngster is well aware of the Old Lady’s interest in acquiring his services.
He knows how desperate they are and that can play a role in him becoming a bianconero next season.
