It is not difficult to understand why Inter lost their second successive home game in Serie A: Roberto Mancini’s side are lacking of a quality player who can take the command of the midfield.
Inter have been linked with a number of Napoli players, including Dries Mertens and Manolo Gabbiadini, while Andrea Ranocchia and Juan Jesus have been rumored to travel the opposite direction.
Nerazzurri, by the way, should target another player who belongs to the Partenopei: Mirko Valdifiori.
The former Empoli star has only played 908 minutes in all competitions this term and his playing time could be reduced further if a new central midfielder will really join the San Paolo in January window.
Valdifiori would probably solve Inter’s woes in the middle of the pitch. He is a great passer, good at technical things and an excellent set-piece taker, something that Inter are also lacking of in this campaign.
This is just an idea, because we are well aware that it’ll be nothing easy to persuade Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis to sell the 29-year-old who joined Napoli for € 5 million only five months ago, even if the player’s € 800.000 a year salary could be more than affordable for Inter.
His quality in the middle of the pitch would probably be the answer to Roberto Mancini’s needs.
