    OUCH! Besiktas made as much as Fiorentina in Mario Gomez's Wolfsburg move!

    One would have thought that Fiorentina's sale of Mario Gomez to Wolfsburg would be good news. Often injured, the German international was a complete flop at the Franchi, and his departure will now allow the club to save on his €8 million salary. Good news, right? Wrong. 

    Unfortunately for the Viola, only €2m of that sale will actually go into their coffers, with €1m going to the agents, and the rest straight into Besiktas' pockets! How come? Simple: Fiorentina agreed in Gomez's loan deal to Turkey that he could stay there another year for a measly €1.000... and that, if he didn't, that half of the proceeds from an eventual sale would go to Besiktas!
