Outlining the Serie A clubs interested in signing Spurs, Toffees target Badelj

Milan Badelj is not going to extend his contract expiring in 2018 with Fiorentina. CM.com exclusively revealed in February that the Croatia International is on Tottenham’s wish-list as emissaries of the Spurs asked information about the player ahead of the meeting between Fiorentina and Spurs in Europa League.

No secret that AC Milan boss Vincenzo Monella is a long time admirer of the 26-year-old midfielder, so much so Montella brought him to Fiorentina two years ago. AC Milan have yet to make any official offer for the Croatian star, but Badelj tops Montella’s wish-list for midfield reinforcement.

However, with Fiorentina and AC Milan who are definitely not on good terms, negotiations to bring Badelj to the San Siro are not going to be easy even if Badelj is willing to reunite with his old boss at AC Milan.

CM.com has also learned that there are two more Serie A clubs interested in welcoming the services of Badelj: AS Roma and Inter. Yet again, neither of the two clubs have made official offers to Fiorentina, but Badelj could fit perfectly in Mancini’s 4-4-2, whilst the imminent arrival of Diawara at AS Roma might convince the giallorossi to drop the former Hamburger SV man.

Everton are desperate to sign a centre midfielder, so much so the Toffees have made approach to sign both Axel Witsel and Badelj. The latter, however, would prefer not to leave Italy and is looking for a more prestigious club than Everton, whilst Witsel could be close to joining Napoli.
