Angelo Palombo will soon become a Fiorentina player leaving his beloved club Sampdoria in Serie B.

The Italian international is expected to sign his new contract on Monday. The Viola managed to persuade the Blucerchiati with a €4M offer and including the services of midfielder Gianni Munari in the deal.

Palermo, which were close to Palombo, have given up already: “We had an agreement with the club, but Palombo and his agent turned us down,” explained President Maurizio Zamparini.

“We won’t continue negotiations so I believe the player will end up at Fiorentina. Here in Palermo we want motivated players, he just wasn’t,” concluded the Rosanero patron.
