Paper Talk - Inter tell Juve to forget about Brozovic; Arsenal swoop for Lemina

Inter has closed the door firmly in the face of Juventus in their quest for Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic. The 23-year-old is one of a host of players that the bianconeri have been lining-up to replace Paul Pogba, but the new owners of the Nerazzurri, the Suning Group, have, according to Corriere dello Sport, told the champions that their player will “Never go to Juventus”. Now Juventus could once again return to the track of Belgian international Axel Witsel from Zenit St Petersburg.

New coach Frank de Boer has had nearly a week now to assess his team and after Saturday’s 2-0 friendly win over Celtic, has reportedly told Inter bosses that Brozovic is integral to his plans this season and that the club should reject any advances by the Turin giants. After being told by Chelsea that Nemanja Matic is not leaving Stamford Bridge this summer, this latest news comes as another blow to Juve on the eve of the new Serie A season. With Claudio Marchisio and Sami Khedira both injured, coach Max Allegri needs midfield reinforcements quickly before the August 31 deadline.
