Paper Talk: Spurs remain on red alert for Czech striker as Inter consider a move for Lamela

Czech Republic striker Patrik Schick’s proposed move to Juventus will be decided on Monday. La Gazzetta dello Sport writes that the 21-year-old, who failed his first medical, will now face an anxious wait to see if a proposed €30M move to the Serie A champions will be completed. It’s expected that the player will be told to rest up for anywhere between 45-60 days as he undergoes therapy to fix the current problem. His career is not thought to be at risk however.

Should the deal fall through, the pink journal claims that Spurs could renew their interest in the player. The North London sent a scouting team on a regular basis to Genoa last season to see the player in action for Sampdoria and are still believed to be keen on bringing him to the Premier League.

After failing initial tests, Juventus offered to take Schick on a loan deal which was rejected by the Blucerchiati. Having hastily arranged a second set of examinations, Monday looks set to be the key day in the future of the highly-rated frontman.

Roma patron James Pallotta has told Corriere dello Sport that neither Radja Nainggolan nor Kostas Manolas are for sale. The American quashed rumours of potential moves to Manchester United and Inter for the respective players stating they are a fundamental part of the Giallorossi’s squad for the new campaign.

Inter are reportedly interested in Spurs play-maker Erik Lamela. Tuttosport confirms that the 25-year-old Argentine, who spent time in Serie A with Roma, is on the Nerazzurri’s radar this summer.

The same journal also claims that Spurs themselves are monitoring the situation with Milan striker Suso. The 23-year-old looks set to leave the Rossoneri this summer and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is a huge fan of the Spaniard.
