Paper Talk: Chelsea target prefers Inter move; Liverpool target heading to the Canary Islands

Reports from Sky Sport Italia this morning claim that new Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti is set to battle Chelsea for the signature of German defender Antonio Rudiger. Having been under the Tuscan’s tutelage in the Italian capital at Roma for the past 18 months, the 24-year-old is understood to be keen to link up with his former mentor at the San Siro.

There is a problem however, and that is that the Giallorossi want €40M for one of their star players whilst Inter are believed to be ready to offer only €30M plus the possible exchange of one of their current squad such as Colombian defender Jeison Murillo.

In other Inter related news this morning, Brazilian striker Gabigol looks set to head out on-loan to Liga side Las Palmas. According to El Larguero, the 20-year-old, who has been a former target for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, has agreed to make the switch after a disappointing first season in Serie A which saw him spend most of it sat on the substitutes bench.
