Milan and Manchester United look set to go head to head to try to land Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches. According to Calciomercato.com’s Alessandro Cosattini, the Rossoneri are planning their assault for the 19-year-old amid huge competition from the Premier League giants.

It’s understood that Milan want to bring the player to Serie A on an initial two-year loan for a fee of €7-8M before taking the youngster on a permanent deal in 2019. Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti was giving nothing away in a recent interview, declaring that Sanches was still very much part of his squad at the present time although he was aware of the interest from his former club.

After the two clubs met in the International Champions Cup over the weekend, Cosattini states that contact was made and discussions have now started between the two parties.

Juventus have been linked with a move for Argentine defender Ezequiel Garay. The 30-year-old Valencia man, who has been a target for Manchester United in the past, is understood to be the player Bianconeri chiefs see as the replacement for Leonardo Bonucci (Corriere dello Sport).

Part of any possible deal that takes Garay to Turin could involve French midfielder Mario Lemina going in the opposite direction. The 23-year-old has also been linked with moves to Everton and Leicester City.

Juve director Pavel Nedved has kept the door open for Czech striker Patrik Schick. The 21-year-old’s move to the champions collapsed after two failed medicals but Nedved told Gazzetta dello Sport that it did not mean that the clubs interest had ended in a player who has also been followed by Tottenham Hotspur.

Inter are ready to make a 50M assault on Bayern Munich for Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal. Gazzetta states that club owners Suning are ready to gift new boss Luciano Spalletti with a big money name this summer.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has not ruled out losing German midfielder Emre Can to Juventus. Tuttosport quotes the German tactician who told reporters that unless the 23-year-old (who is entering the final 12 months of his contract at Anfield) signs a new deal anything can happen.
