Paper Talk: Chelsea to make improved bid for Napoli star, Bayern name price for Juve, Spurs target

Chelsea are still looking to complete their first summer signing after that both Manchester clubs have already taken some concrete steps signing some reinforcements. Chelsea boss Conte is not happy with how the club are dealing with the summer transfers and according to today’s edition of Il Corriere dello Sport, the Blues have resumed their interest in Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly.

The Senegalese centre-back was tempted to join the Stamford Bridge last summer when Chelsea offered € 55 million to sign him.

The Italian paper states that the Blues will offer € 60 million in the next few days although the Serie A giants are intended to keep the player at the club as they want to become Juventus’ no. 1 contenders for the Serie A title next season. Koulibaly is not going to leave Napoli, at least for now, because he’s a vital part of the club’s future. Napoli’s position, however, may change if the player asks to leave but at the moment that is not a likely scenario.

Meantime, Bayern Munich have named their price for Douglas Costa who is known to be a transfer target of Juventus and Tottenham. The Bavarians have slapped € 50 million price-tag on the talented Brazilian winger who, however, may leave the Allianz Arena for a fee close to € 45 million.

Juventus have already opened transfer talks with the Bundesliga giants and with the player’s entourage. The Champions League finalists are on very good terms with representatives of Bayern Munich and Diego Cota to Juventus could be a done deal by next week. The Old Lady has already offered € 40 million and the two clubs could meet halfway.
