Paper Talk: Donnarumma to earn more than Courtois and Buffon, Inter want Liverpool star

Gianluigi Donnarumma has finally taken a decision over his future and he is going to sign a contract extension with AC Milan. The 18-year-old goalkeeper has agreed to sign a new five-year, € 6 million-a-year deal with the Serie A giants and he will have a double release clause included in his contract.

One of € 50 million if AC Milan fail to qualify for the Champions League and one of € 100 million if the rossoneri make it for Europe’s elite competition.

Donnarumma’s new salary makes him the third best paid goalkeeper in the world after the likes of Manuel Neuer (€ 9 million-a-year) and David De Gea (€ 6.8 million). The likes of Thibaut Courtois and Gigi Buffon don’t earn as much as Donnarumma. The Chelsea star is on a € 4.1-million-a-year deal, whilst the Italian earns € 4 million-a-year at Juventus.

On the other side of Milan, Inter want to build a strong squad to make return to Champions League and to become credible contenders for a Serie A title.

The nerazzurri need to sign at least two new defenders, one centre midfielder and one attacking winger. As for their attacking pack, Inter have set sights on several top players in Europe. Although Dogulas Costa has emerged as a possible transfer target for the nerazzurri, La Gazzetta dello Sport claims Inter are also interested in signing Liverpool’s Saido Mane.

The Italian paper claims Klopp is not open to sell him at any price although the signing of Mohammed Salah may affect the game time of the former Southampton star. Talk have not begun yet, but Inter are monitoring the 25-year-old.
