Paper Talk: €100m star wants AC Milan move, Juve open talks over Chelsea star

Juventus are interested in signing Chelsea star Nemanja Matic and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Old Lady opened talks over the signing of the Serbian midfielder yesterday. Representatives of the Serie A giants, in fact, met Beppe Riso in Milan. Riso is not only the agent of Federico Cassata (who has joined Sassuolo from Juve on a permanent deal) and Mattia Caldara (he will arrive in Turin in summer 2018 from Atalanta), but is also one of the intermediaries working on the sale of the former Benfica star.

Juventus have yet to establish a direct contact with Chelsea but have been informed that the Premier League giants won’t sell Matic for less than € 45 million. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, however, the player’s omission from Chelsea’s pre-season tour means the Blues will possibly lower the player’s price-tag.

Juventus hope to sign the player for a fee in the region of € 35 million and are also considering a summer bid for Emre Can. The German will see his contract expire in June 2018 but Liverpool still want to keep him at Anfield Road and would rather prefer to see him leave as a free agent rather than sell him this summer.

Meantime, Chelsea have completed the signing of Alvaro Morata and AC Milan have only a few strikers left in their summer shopping list.

Pierre-Emerick Aubemeyang is set to stay at Borussia Dortmund and according to several reports Nikola Kalinic and Andrea Belotti are the only strikers AC Milan are interested in at the moment.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Belotti will have a meeting with Torino president today when the Italian will officially hand in his transfer request. The 23-year-old striker wants to move to AC Milan and although he won’t push hard to leave Torino, he will reportedly make it crystal clear that he would prefer a move to the San Siro in the summer.

Belotti has a € 100 million release clause included in his contract with Torino but the granata are reportedly open to sell the Italy star for € 80 million plus the likes of Gabriel Paletta and M’Baye Niang.
