Paper Talk: Juve to double Alex Sandro wages, Inter’s Liverpool threat

Paper Talk: Juve to double Alex Sandro wages, Inter’s Liverpool threat

The summer transfer window officially opened yesterday but negotiations between clubs are ongoing since several weeks. One of the hottest transfer stories of the summer will be Chelsea’s move for Alex Sandro.

The Brazilian has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League champions but Juventus want to persuade him to sign a contract extension with the club. The Old Lady is aware that she can’t match Chelsea’s contract offer.

The Blues have offered Alex Sandro a € 7 million-a-year deal and Juventus can’t offer as much. According to Il Corriere dello Sport, however, the Serie A champions will try to tempt Alex Sandro with a two-year contract extension (till 2022) with a salary in the region of € 4.5/5 million-a-year. The player is on a € 2.5 million-a-year deal at the moment.

In addition to that, Juventus are also trying to sign Danilo, a former Porto star and a very close friend of Alex Sandro.

Meantime in Milan, Inter are still waiting for Manchester United’s € 50 million bid for Ivan Perisic although the nerazzurri are now keen to take new faces to the San Siro.

La Gazzetta dello Sport confirms Borja Valero won’t be the only midfielder joining the San Siro. The nerazzurri have set their sights on Arturo Vidal, Radja Nainggolan and Naby Keita. The latter is a long time Liverpool target and Inter are reported to have a budget of € 60 million to sign a new centre midfielder. The Italian paper claims Liverpool are leading the race to sign him although Inter’s financial strength could allow the nerazzurri to become serious contenders for the signature of the 22-year-old.
