Paper Talk: Juve want Arsenal target, Roma ‘wait’ Chelsea and Man Utd over €35m star
Juventus are looking to signing one new attacking winger at least and according to Tuttosport, Arsenal target Thomas Lemar is becoming one of Juve’s primary targets.
The Gunners are in pole position to seal the Frenchman although they have yet no agreement with the Ligue 1 champions. Juventus had prepared an opening €30 million bid which, however, was rejected by Monaco. The Serie A giants would make an improved bid in case Arsenal fail to reach an agreement with Monaco with the Gunners who might retire from the race to sign him in case they manage to keep Alexis Sanchez.
Meantime, Roma are reported to be furious with their star defender Kostas Manolas who has rejected a € 35 million move to Zenit despite agreeing personal terms with the Russian side. The Greece International failed to show up for medical and Zenit have retired from the race to sign him.
Roma, however, want to sell the 25-year-old and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, they hope that either Chelsea or Manchester United will match their € 35 million asking price, whilst Juventus’ interest in the Greek defender has not been confirmed. Not yet, at least.
