Paper talk: Man City bid for Juve defender, Barcelona pounce on Pogba

Manchester City are strongly interested in signing Juventus defender Joao Cancelo and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, an offer in the region of € 60 million is ready to be submitted.

Juventus signed the Portuguese right-back for € 40 million last summer and the Old Lady has a good opportunity to make a capital gain if they sell Cancelo for such fee.
The future of Cancelo, however, does also depend on the future of Max Allegri.
The Italian manager will meet Andrea Agnelli tomorrow. A key face-to-face to decide the future of the Serie A giants.

If Allegri stays, Cancelo may leave as Max is not happy about the improvements of Cancelo in the defensive phase.

BARCELONA WANT POGBA

Meantime Barcelona are once again interested in signing Manchester United star Paul Pogba. The Frenchman is the dream of Juventus’ board for the summer but according to Tuttosport the competition to sign him in the summer will be harsh.

Pogba is wanted by Real Madrid and Barcelona and his poor relationship with Man United fans (plus the lack of Champions League football next season) could push him away from the Old Trafford.

Barcelona have already reached an agreement to sign De Ligt from Ajax and could sell Rakitic in the summer.

Pogba’s price-tag, however, remains in the region of € 150 million, a very high fee for all the potential suitors. The price could be reduced only if the Frenchman insists to leave Manchester in the summer.
