On Sunday, Paqueta will play his last match for Flamengo, facing Atletico Paranaense. Therefore, the young midfielder has sent a farewell message to the club, as he will then fly to Italy to sign for AC Milan.  

 

"It's time to say goodbye, I'm ready to start a new adventure. I thank the club for everything that it has given me, but after 12 years I think the time has come. 

 

"I'll have many things on my mind in the coming days. I have to rest and work to prepare for the last game in the best way possible. I think it will only be a ‘see-you-later’ and not a goodbye," he told Globo Esporte. 

 

Even though Paqueta won't be able to play for Milan until January, he will have a month to settle in a bit at his new club before being at Gattuso's disposal.
