    Pavoletti in the national team: "Like Paolo Rossi & Schillaci"

    Genoa striker Leonardo Pavoletti has been speaking from the Azzurri training camp at Coverciano. It was put to him that if he was to make the final 23 for France, it would be a similar story to that of Paolo Rossi in 1982 and Toto Schillaci in 1990. He explained that; "It would be my dream but they have there own history and journey. So far mine has been excellent. I hope to get the call but much will depend on the coming days".

    He continued by declaring that; "I would probably have been called into the squad in March but I picked up an injury. When you are called up you are at the disposal of the coach and if he calls me I'm ready".
