Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisic is edging closer to his move to Manchester United. The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford with recent reports suggesting that new Inter boss Luciano Spalletti has given the green-light for the player to leave the San Siro.
 

With a reported £40M deal imminent, the Manchester Evening News writes that Perisic has been very complimentary about United boss Jose Mourinho telling close friends that he “appreciates” and “enjoys” the work of the Portuguese tactician and that he wants to return to playing Champions League football after a four-year absence.
 

Inter need to raise capital to comply with Financial Fair-Play regulations and the sale of the Croatian international would certainly ensure they do this. Perisic himself is keen to test himself in the Premier League having already had spells playing in France, Belgium, Germany and of course Italy.
