Pescara-Atalanta clash suspended due to earthquake

Serie A clash Pescara-Atalanta was suspended for two minutes on Wednesday night after that an earthquake was felt in Pescara, in the region of Abruzzo.

The game was suspended for two minutes in the 30th minute (around 9.15 pm) and was resumed shortly after.
The epicentre of a 5.6 earthquake was located in centre Italy, close to where another earthquake stucked last August leaving 298 deaths and 388 injured.

Abruzzo had been hit by a 6.3 magnitude quake in 2008 in one of the deadliest shocks to have ever hit Italy which caused 309 victims and left more than 1.000 injured. Pescara is 120 km east of L’Aquila which is the city that suffered the most damages in 2008.

Another Serie A game was suspended and resumed on Wednesday night as Fiorentina and Crotone had to return in their dressing rooms for more as long as 46 minutes, waiting for the heavy rain to end and for the pitch playable again.
