In the past few days rumours started to circulate that the 28-year-old could be on his way to sign for Turkish giants Fenerbahce and now the Dutch defender has posted a photograph on twitter with his girlfriend at Istanbul airport. Turkish media claims the player has signed a three-year-deal with the club.
