Poll: Should Milan sack Montella for Ancelotti?

Poll: Should Milan sack Montella for Ancelotti?

The pieces have fallen into place for Milan, should they decide to consider the return of Carlo Ancelotti to the Rossoneri bench. Not only has the Italian tactician been fired by Bayern Munich following his side’s 3-0 defeat to PSG in the Champions League, but Milan coach Vincenzo Montella is also coming under intense pressure after his side lost to Sampdoria over the weekend.

The revolving door at the Milan headquarters has slowed down quite a bit since the onslaught of summer signings, but there are a few select people that still have the key. The first is Ibrahimovic, and the second is Ancelotti. Both enjoyed a successful and entertaining time at the San Siro, with fans and directors repeatedly willing to welcome them back to the Rossoneri.

The opportunity for Ibra has passed, as the player opted to rejoin Manchester United when he returns from injury. But Ancelotti, on the other hand, is out of a job just over a month into the new season. As more and more fire comes to Montella to push the new Milan towards the Scudetto, more pressure will fall on both the coach and the players to produce results. The season has been an up and down journey so far, with some great successes and some serious disappointments.

This brings up a relevant question for the Milan faithful. With Carlo Ancelotti now available, should Milan consider replacing Montella with their former coach? Vote in Calciomercato’s poll below:
