  • Mourinho at Inter again?

    Mourinho at Inter again?

Something is broken at Inter. The heavy defeats against Milan and Schalke plus the one last night against Parma, have left a mark. Not only is Moratti's club out of Europe, but they have lost the race for the Scudetto as well.

After many years of success, perhaps something is not working as it should anymore in the dressing room. Maicon and Thiago Motta's exclusions last night (Sneijder did not play the first half either), could be a sign.

"I am not as arrogant to be always right, but I can see things 360°", Leonardo explained. "It was a technical choice".

The club's sporting director, Branca, said: "I think the coach must make his choices".

These are the official reasons to which we must believe. However, there is no doubt that the team has changed compared to when Leonardo arrived, replacing Benitez.

Perhaps, as happens to all the great clubs, this cycle is now over; Inter must file their successes and restart from scratch. Massimo Moratti's words after the elimination from the Champions League are depicting the situation nicely: "I want to thank my team, all the players who in the last few years brought all our fans, me included, lots of happiness and success. We will always be proud of them".

So, who should coach Inter in the future? Leonardo, who will be meeting with Moratti in May, needs to achieve at least two targets: the third position in Serie A and Italy's Cup. In the meantime from Madrid José Mourinho is sending messages to Moratti ("He's a great president, his words are important for me"). His sons have been enrolled again in the same school in Lugano that they attened when Mourinho was coaching Inter, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The school is 30 minutes away from Appiano Gentile...
