PSG hierarchy meet Mbappe's father fuelling further transfer speculation

French side Paris Saint-Germain are making moves to land the signing of highly-rated Monaco forward Kylain Mbappe, by meeting the players’ father, according to French publication L’Equipe via ANSA.

For several weeks, the teenage sensation was been linked with a move away from the French league champions, with Real Madrid and Arsenal as interested parties.

But now the PSG boss Unai Emery and the club’s president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, along with sports director Antero Henrique, met with Mbappe and his father Wilfred Mbappe, in order to see if the French club can get him to agree with a deal with the club.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admitted recently that he was still interested in the French international, despite bringing in Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette for £52m plus add-ons last week.

The 18-year-old took the footballing world by storm during the second half of last season, with a 100m EURO mooted for his services.
