PSG join Barcelona, Borussia in race for €25m midfielder

Another club has joined the race for Jean-Michael Seri, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona are the two clubs known to be interested in Seri.

The Catalans’ first target is actually Marco Verratti, but are also thinking of going for an alternative, and Seri is up high on that list.

Ironically, PSG themselves also like the 26-year-old, who has had a stunning season with Nice, scoring six goals and adding nine assists in Ligue 1 action.

Seri could leave the Ligue 1 contenders for as little as €25 million. The idea is that Coach Unai Emery is relying on Seri, Verratti, Rabiot and Pastore to run his midfield next season, and has accepted that Blaise Matuidi won’t be a part of the club any longer.

Barcelona, for their part, have a few targets in mind for their midfield, which needs to be beefed up after a poor ending to their Champions League campaign.

The likes of Ivan Rakitic and Andres Iniesta don’t seem to be having the same impact as before, while Andre Gomes has struggled to fit in.
