Psg not ahead of Chelsea in Alex Sandro race despite better offer

Psg have made a huge opening bid to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. The Italian paper claims the Ligue 1 giants have put € 70 million on the table to sign the talented left-back, whilst Chelsea’s opening € 60 million bid was rejected by the Serie A giants last month.

Juventus have no need to sell the player who, however, has already reached an agreement with Chelsea and is waiting for his club to give green light for his move to South Wes London.

It is understood that Alex Sandro prefers a move to Chelsea over a transfer in Paris as he believes the Premier League is better place to test his skills than the Ligue 1 and that’s why Psg’s offer does not mean they are leading the race to sign the Brazilian who prefers a move to Chelsea.

Juventus will try to keep the former Porto star in Turin offering him a contract extension with pay rise. The Old Lady, however, is aware that she won’t manage to match Chelsea’s € 7 million-a-year proposal and hope Alex Sandro won’t push to leave Turin in the summer.
