Football superagent Mino Riaola has opened up about racism in football, saying that it is not true that there is no racism in the game.

The issue of racism has become a hot topic in football these days, especially after what happened at the Olympic Stadium in Rome recently. And Riaola, who happens to be one of the most prominent agents in the game, was talking to Dutch newspaper Expressen about the subject.

Talking of Romelu Lukaku and if the Manchester United superstar has had issues with racism, Riaola said:  " For Lukaku the problems have always been there.I remember his mother told me that after each game he had to bring his birth certificate. None of the other parents believed it that he was 12 to 13 years old , especially when he scored three to four goals in a game. And these episodes were not random. "

Raiola continued talking racism in football in general. He told the newspaper: "Football is the most democratic sport, so it should be the same for everyone. It is always said that People think there is no discrimination, but it is not true. Colored players always receive a certain kind of treatment.

"I think there is conscious discrimination . They always ask me: 'Mino, is this player like Pogba, Balotelli and Lukaku?', Never Somiglia to Ibrahimovic or Beckham?. Color athletes are always placed apart. "
