RB Leipzig warn Liverpool away from 22 year old with 70 million GBP price tag

There are reports out of England today via The Daily Star linking Liverpool with another major signing, this time coming from the Bundesliga. Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita is said to be on the wish list of Jurgen Klopp as he goes shopping in his old league, but there is a stumbling block in the negotiations. Leipzig reportedly will not accept any offers less than 70 million GBP for the talented 22 year old, after already ruling out the Reds initial approach of around 45 million GBP.

The Guinean player notched 8 goals and added 7 assists in all competitions for the German club, attracting attention for his range and athleticism and long term potential. Leipzig paid nearly 15 million EUR to get the player from Salzburg last year, and they will want desperately to hold onto their investment. Especially considering their push to make up ground on the Bundesliga’s other major clubs, losing Keita could be detrimental at this point without a serious profit.
