Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane was full of admiration and praise for Tottenham Hotspur after having suffered a heavy defeat against the north Londoners in their Champions League group stage tie at Wembley.

"Many teams can win the Champions League and Tottenham are certainly one of them. We came up against the superior team. They were better in every aspect. The team is full of champions and we are able to change the run of form we’re in. The team wasn’t able to today. What can I say?" Zidane wondered.

Zidane was asked about the fact that Real Madrid have now lost two matches in a row after having lost this past weekend at the hands of Girona to which he replied: "We’ve lost a Champions League match tonight, that’s two defeats and obviously we’re not happy about it. In terms of the state of mind for the team, it’s not good. We’re going through a bad moment."
