Real Madrid insist 'CR7 never in another European club': move to USA and MLS next?

"Cristiano Ronaldo will never be transferred to another European club." This is what Real Madrid says to media outlet Cadena Ser. The capital club, in fact, with a one billion EUR buyout clause, would be willing to deal with non-European companies, with an eye to the United States’ MLS.

It would not be the first Real Madrid idol to leave Europe for America, as David Beckham’s transfer to the LA Galaxy created quite a stir in 2007. The MLS is long after the superstars of Europe, and after Beckham’s time has passed as the world renowned football and sex symbol, Cristiano Ronaldo has arrived to take his place. Between Ibrahimovic and Cristiano Ronaldo, the MLS and the United States would be more than happy to welcome one or both of the world’s best players to the league.

Until an official announcement is made, MLS fans will be forced to continue to dream. At this point there is a difficulty bringing in such huge names under the franchise system that the league operates. Nonetheless, if Beckham made the move, who knows who is next?
