It is not a secret that James Rodriguez' Real Madrid future is in heavy doubt. The Colombian superstar has not seen much playing time under Zidane as he wants to find a new team who will offer him more playing time. Many clubs have been interested in James including Manchester United as he won't come cheap. According to AS.com, the player's agent (Jorge Mendes) offered his client to AC Milan while they had talks to close a deal for Portuguese rising star André Silva. With Gigio Donnarumma's future unsure (with reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid), a Donnarumma vs James swap deal might certainly be on the cards for both clubs.
Let's not forget that Donnarumma rejected to renew his deal which will expire in 2018 with Milan as his future is in heavy doubt. Fassone will likely speak again with the player's family but it remains to be seen if Donnrumma will change his decision....
