Real Madrid look to sell Colombian to Man U to fund move for Monaco starlet

Just days after the Champions League final when he was left out of the Real Madrid squad that beat Juventus 4-1 to lift the European trophy, reports are coming out of England via The Daily Star that have connected Manchester United with wantaway Madrid creative midfielder James Rodriguez. The Colombian found his life difficult in Spain this season, only used sparingly in Zidane’s starting line up and often neglected also as a substitute.

With a World Cup year approaching, James will be searching for a club and atmosphere that can allow him to get back his best. The English Premier League seems the most realist destination considering the asking price for the talented South American star, and Manchester United and Chelsea had already been linked James in December. With Conte now dealing with the blow that Hazard may not be able to start the season, perhaps the Blues are on James’ list as well. More notably though, is admirer Jose Mourinho, who ironically shares the same agent as the Colombian. Manchester United will want to bring in all the quality they can to rebuild a side capable of returning the Red Devils to their SAF status.

With Real Madrid strongly considering a monster bid for Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe, they could use funds from a James mega deal to fund the move. One thing is for sure, James Rodriguez’s future seems further from Madrid every day.
