Real Madrid table world record bid for French sensation

Real Madrid are determined to beat off the competition to sign French striking sensation Kylian Mbappe. As they battle with Arsenal and Manchester United to try to land one of football’s hottest properties, The Sun reports that the Champions League winners have tabled a colossal £118M bid for the 18-year-old Monaco star.

This is their second attempt to try to persuade the youngster to head to the Spanish capital and is a significant increase on Arsenals reported £87M bid which was rejected last week. Mbappe has declared that he dreams of playing for Los Blancos but recently he slightly backtracked on that statement claiming that he meant that he would have loved to have played alongside Real boss Zinedine Zidane when he was a player.

The player’s father, who is in charge of business affairs has been inundated with offers from around Europe but the opportunity to work alongside the French legend, whether as a player or coach, may just be too tempting to turn down.
