Real Madrid trying to coax Neymar away from PSG

Paris Saint-Germain are trying to shield Neymar from a very interested Real Madrid, according to the latest reports from Spain.

Mundo Deportivo write that the Liga side have always wanted Neymar, ever since they were very close to landing him in the summer of 2013, only for the Santos move to not go through.

According to the report, it looks like Florentino Perez and Neymar’s father remained in contact through Wagner Ribeiro, the Brazilian agent better known to Italians as the man who has also worked with Philippe Coutinho and Gabigol.

Perez wants Neymar as an eventual replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo in the long term.

Then again, Neymar isn’t unhappy in Paris, but PSG are still going to try to do “whatever it takes” to keep him.

The only potential defect is the rift Neymar has had with Cavani over taking free kicks and penalties, but the two have recently reconciled.
