Real Madrid: Zidane speaks about Ronaldo-Ramos rift

There is "no problem" between Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos, coach Zinedine Zidane insisted on the eve of Saturday's derby against Atletico Madrid.

Ronaldo recently suggested that the Madrid squad was weaker while adjusting to the changes in the team, but a week later Ramos disagreed while also saying Ronaldo's moodiness over a lack of league goals was "not the best."

"These two players are part of the history of this club," said the reigning Manager of The Year. "They respect each other a lot and are both intelligent people. They are together a long time, won a lot together, maybe sometimes if they disagree over something it is not important.”

He continued, “Things are sorted inside, and there has been no problem between Cristiano and Sergio. It is good that players give their opinions, it shows they are alive."

Both Real and Atletico have stumbled during the opening stages of the 2017-18 campaign, and are currently joint third in the table, eight points behind early pace-setters Barcelona.
