Real offered Benzema, Chelsea targets to Inter in summit

Inter asked Real Madrid about James Rodriguez in a recent meeting, but saw their €60 million offer be turned down, according to the latest reports.

Don Balon claim that Florentino Perez wasn’t so interested in selling James to Inter, but offered some alternatives, which included Karim Benzema, Isco and Alvaro Morata.

The latter two have been pursued by Chelsea, with Morata in particular appreciated by new Coach Antonio Conte.

Morata, a former Juventus star, was bought back by Real Madrid this summer, but has not featured very prominently, starting only 7 Liga games. Then again, he’s scored eight goals in a total of 16 appearances.

The latest reports had Perez and Coach Zinedine Zidane wanted to offer Morata and cash as part of a swap for Eden Hazard.

Perez met with Jindong Zhang, the owner of Suning and Inter Milan, acquiring the latter during the summer.

The Chinese mogul asked about James Rodriguez, seeing as he intends to spend by to make Inter great again. Isco has also cut a frustrated figure of late, being recently linked with Barcelona.
