REPORT Axel Witsel refuses to play for Zenit, expects Juve call!
The Belgian international has long been pursued by a number of European clubs, including Milan, Everton and Juventus, and recently refused to play the in Zenit's season opener.
This is all confirmed by the Russian team’s new Coach, Mircea Lucescu (formerly of Inter Milan) who said that Witself “wants to leave. He wouldn’t play against Lokomotiv Moscow despite not being injured. I had to throw him on because I needed his experience but I repeat, he wants to leave”.
There’s more: reports seem to indicate that the Belgian wants nothing to do with Everton, despite the fact that the Toffees have matched Zenit’s offer of €25 million, even raising it to €30m.
The Belgian would rather play for Juventus, but so far the Bianconeri are only offering €17/18m.
