Report: Chelsea to replace Sarri with Lampard

Chelsea are set to replace Maurizio Sarri with Frank Lampard next season, SportMediaset reports.

The broadcaster confirms the report of La Gazzetta dello Sport that claimed Sarri is not wanted anymore at Stamford Bridge (READ HERE).

Roman Abramovich, in fact, doesn't like Sarri and prefers a manager who is closer to the fanbase. Chelsea fans and English media have never really liked Sarri and despite his good results in charge of the Blues this season, the Europa League final is likely to be the last game in charge of the Blues.

Lampard is currently coaching Derby County in Championship and, of course, Chelsea fans are looking forward to seeing him sit on the bench of their club.

Sarri is being linked with a return to Europe where AC Milan and Roma are interested in welcoming his services.

In his first year at Chelsea, Sarri managed to snatch a Champions League qualification and qualify for the Europa League final which will be played on the 29th of May in Baku against Arsenal.
