Report: Ibrahimovic set for quadruple pay rise at LA Galaxy

According to what has been reported by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, LA Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has signed a new deal with the American side, that will see him earn €6.5m a year compared to the €1.4m he earned during his first year.

This comes as Galaxy make the Swede a designated player, meaning that they are no longer bound by the salary cap and therefore can pay the forward whatever they wish to. This puts an end to speculation once and for all that Ibrahimovic could be heading back to his former club AC Milan, with it reported that his family wished to remain in Los Angeles instead of returning to Italy.
