Report: Messi set to renew his deal with Barcelona
Lionel Messi's contract situation was a very hot topic all summer long. At first it seemed like Messi was going to sign a 4 year deal with Barcelona but then more recent reports suggested that it might be a life long contract. According to la Liga president Javier Tebas (via Ansa), it seems like Messi renewed his deal with the Blaugrana. Here is what he had to say on the matter as he spoke to the local press: " Contracts become official once they are signed not when they are said to be signed. Messi renewed his deal with Barcelona if they told me the truth that is. He signed the deal....".
Messi has been on fire this season as he scored 15 goals and added 4 assists in 15 games for FC Barcelona. He has been the face of the Blaugrana for some time now as the story between Barcelona and Messi seems like it will continue for the rest of his career perhaps...
